Without rules, this wouldn't be a league like all the other leagues in this state that follow rules. So why are teams consistently breaking the rules every week??? AND WHY ARE THE BOARD MEMBERS BEING VERBALLY ATTACKED FOR TRYING TO ENFORCE THE RULES NO MATTER WHO OR WHAT TEAMS ARE INVOLVED??? It is getting way out of hand and a meeting of team managers will need to take place ASAP.
IT HAS COME TO THE ATTENTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND TEAM MANAGERS/COACHES THAT TEAMS ARE USING ILLEGAL PLAYERS.
**PLEASE BE AWARE OF LEAGUE RULE #31:
If a team is found to be using an illegal player by a league official during a game, no matter what the reason, and it is brought to their attention, the team with the illegal player will forfeit their game on the spot and the player will be suspended for his or her next three games. If they play for another team, the team they play for will also forfeit their game on the day of the infraction. The manager of the team with the illegal player will be suspended for one game, and the penalty will double if there is a second occurrence.
ILLEGAL PLAYERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN THE PLAYOFFS!!! ALL TEAMS WILL BE CHECKED AGAINST ROSTERS.
Next year there will be a mandatory cutoff date to hand in signed rosters (just like this year, but with absolutely no exceptions) or teams will forfeit their games until it is handed in. Also, every team manager will be given copies of all the team's rosters to verify the opposing team names when they play them. Why has it come to this? Next we will all have to produce ID's because teams can't follow the rules put in place.
ALSO, IT HAS BEEN THE RULE OF THIS LEAGUE THAT NO COMPOSITE OR MULTI-WALL BATS BE USED FOR THE SAFETY OF THE PLAYERS.
**PLEASE BE AWARE OF LEAGUE RULE 22D:
If a player is using an illegal bat, it must be brought to the umpire's attention at the time of use. If the bat is found to be illegal, the batter will be called out. Play will resume back at the point where the batter came to bat and the bat will be removed from the game.
On another note, thank you to the players who have stepped up and umpired some games. It is greatly appreciated. Glenn from Park City Cobras is in charge of the umpires and is doing his best with the situation. It is not the Board's fault that umpires just don't show up, but the players that have umpired are doing a hell of a job.
